The company’s advanced approach to product engineering and design is supported by an IP estate of 27 patents, including the breakthrough “constructive occlusion” an optical system technique that blends and controls light from multiple LEDs (light-emitting diodes) to produce elegant and uniform illumination for use by architects, lighting specifiers and space designers.

Renaissance Lighting’s “green” technology integrates internal sensors constantly monitoring and adjusting light output and color. This patented approach includes the ability activate “sleeper LEDs” to compensate for the gradual degradation of light or color during the fixture’s normal 50,000- to 70,000-hour life span.
